We Designed and Coordinated a Wedding for a Beautiful Couple from Colorado a few weeks ago.
They wanted something simple and rustic, but most of all they wanted to have a blast!
They also wanted to have their ceremony and reception in their family's backyard, that just so happened to be on the Long Island Sound- which provided a beautiful backdrop.
The centerpieces were modest and very beachy. We used drift wood that the couple found on their property and incorporated it into the table decor with succulents, greenery and a touch of cream and pale pink flowers. Even their cake was decorate with simple greenery.
We created a beautiful Arch that the Couple got married under with Curly Willow that framed the view of the Sound.
Guests were also greeted and directed around the property by vintage style signs on drift wood and pieces of old wood accompanied by over sized Lanterns.
We dressed up the Backyard by framing the dance floor with large bulb rope lights draped from birch poles. This added an amazing glow to the atmosphere throughout the evening.
As you can see- the view was absolutely gorgeous. As the sun set- the Newlyweds exchanged vows, and then guests were invited to the Tent to eat a fantastic dinner by Elegant Eating.
It truly was an amazing evening- and a very unique wedding. We loved working with this couple and their families- and wish them nothing but the best!

Event Recap: Zen Theme Awards Ceremony
Bamboo, River Stones & Aerialists
Recently we did a Corporate Awards Ceremony at The Cradle of Aviation. We went with a Zen theme, incorporating it into the Room Decor, Centerpieces, and even the Entertainment.
As guest entered from their cocktail hour- their attention was captured by our Silk Aerialist Performer hanging 15' off the ground over the dance floor. We continued with the Aerialist Performance with different sets throughout the night- even while guests were dancing underneath them!
The host set each place set with a Lucky Bamboo Plant that guests could take home with them.
We also floated Inner Lit 3' White Balloons around the room at different heights to bring dimension to the room.
Guest were amazed by the Aerialists twisting and flipping in the air above them. Later on in the evening guests were dancing on the dance floor while the performers we above them.

I've known of Luna Bazaar for quite a while and got wonderful lanterns from them for events. They have an amazing selection of sizes, shapes and colors. But not until recently did I realize they have a bevy of other amazing accessories for any event (or your home, I know I can use an Ikat pillow!). I am so behind on this information it's embarrassing but I cannot let my faithful readers (all 3 of you) go another day without knowing about Luna Bazaar as well. Gold gilded votive holders are to die for! They bring that Moroccan feel that is so in right now. Put about 10 in different styles and colors on the table, along with a great linen and you have yourself a very chic event.
These rice paper votive holders are just so cool I think I need...no I HAVE TO HAVE all of them for my home. Oh what a little bamboo or wave print can do to a girl. These patterns are super fashionable and very Jonathan Adler-esque.
Normally I would shun on kitschy favors but this coin purse doubles as a place card holder - perfect for a bridal/baby shower.
These pillow covers evoke that worldly look and will perfectly compliment your Arabian Nights themed lounge at an attractive price of $10 to $30.

Nothing is more timeless and fun than a little zebra print. It ads fun and pizazz to any event. You can go all out or have a few touches here and there to make it truly fabulous!
Zebra lanterns with maybe hot pink or turquoise? Very cool way to fill an unattractive ceiling.
Add a zebra seat cushion to a black ballroom chair - actually it can go with ANY color chair.
Little zebra bench with a Lucite table - yes, please!
