Event Spotlight: Barn Wedding on the North Fork of LI

1:51 PM

Two divisions of Event Kings; Weddings by Event Kings and Kings Lily Floral, had the opportunity to plan and design a wedding at a Christmas Tree Farm in Southold, NY. Wedding planner Christine Dirr and floral designer Jessica Ciardullo are always excited for unusual wedding locations that allow the bride and grooms personalities to really shine through. Dart's Christmas Tree farm offered just that, with its rustic barn and large, lush green field to hold an upscale tent, it captured the couples casual but elegant style.

The cocktail hour was held in and around the vintage barn complete with an authentic red tractor as added decor.

The tent was stunning among the cleared out field that was surrounded by Christmas trees. The stained wood poles and clear sides added warmth and sophistication to the affair.

The floral design was made of textured greens and accenting white floral along the custom built farm tables. Candles in various shapes and sizes were placed throughout to make the evening glow!

Silver dollar eucalyptus, seeded greens, lemon leaf and ruscus accented the white floral and hearty succulents for all the bouquets.

What farm wedding is not complete without a tractor ride?

Capitale

Event Spotlight: Pajama Program

2:59 PM

Sometimes even the little things we take for granted can mean so much to someone who doesn't have, including clean pajamas. The organization Pajama Program works to collect clean and new pajamas to give to children who are forced from their homes into a foster care or group home situation. They believe every child deserves a loving and safe bedtime routine that will lead to a good nights rest and a better day. We agree, and so Event Kings was proud to be part of their annual fundraiser gala at Capitale in lower Manhattan.

Guests entered the venue greeted by a harlequin stilt walker with a custom made, beautiful outfit to fit the theme "Good Nights are Good Days."

At cocktail hour our guests saw another harlequin inspired performer to represent the day. In addition, the room was lit in blue for nighttime and oversize white balloons were lit to represent moons.

Inside the venue was lit in blue that later turned to amber to represent the good morning. The centerpieces were inspired by the sun and moon. Yellow floral like mums, hydrangea and roses made a large centerpiece on top of a glass trumpet vase. The vase was lit with a string of fairy lights. The moon was represented with an airy ball of baby's breath. The tie it all together, low centerpieces were cylinders filled with yellow and blue orchids with a luminary in the center.

The night was elegant and inspiring and Event Kings was honored to be a part of it!
