A Snowy Sweet Sixteen
The perfect theme for a January Sweet Sixteen in New York is Winter Wonderland. With all the snow we've been receiving lately, the theme seemed a natural choice.
Snow, Snow & More Snow
We kept everything Clean and White- with White Striped Linens, White Napkins, White Chivari Chairs, and White Lounge Furniture for the Kids.
We projected Huge Snowflake Gobo On the Wall And Throughout the Room.
The Centerpieces were a mix of Tall White Birch Branches dripping in Crystals and smaller Floral Pieces with Dusty Miller, Pine Cones, and Crystal Branches. We sprinkled the base of the centerpieces with faux snow and crystals.
Our Biggest Winter Spotlight was the Snow Machine. As Guest entered the room they walked through beautiful white snowflakes floating down on their heads.
I know my favorite part of an Event is the Candy Station. We kept the Candy Station true to our Wintery Theme. All the Candy was White, Silver and Blue. As the guest departed, they were offered a container to take home a delicious candy favor. Whats better than Air Heads, Lollipops, Candy Ribbons, and Rock Candy?
Snowflake Seating Cards
Instead of the plain old seating card table, we put a wintery spin on it. We put each guests name and table assignment on a paper snowflake and hung them from white draping, along with an abundance of glittery snowflakes.
We even created a custom guest sign in book- of course with a wintery print and icicles on each page. Even the Cake had Snowflakes!
It was a truly beautiful Event. As a New Yorker we all look at snow as a pain to shovel and commute to work. But this event was a refreshing reminder of the beauty of snow and the winter.
