capitale, NYC, four seasons

Pajama Program is such an amazing organization that their events take on a new meaning and have a special place in our hearts. Raising money to donate new pajamas for children in foster care and group homes make a huge impact on so many lives. This year's theme took us through the seasons of Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall. The event was at Capital in NYC and was truly remarkable. Read more about it here

#2 Independent Support Services Picnic
Picnics are our jam! We have been producing company picnics for years and when we see colleagues and their families come together to have fun and honor the work they did throughout the year it brings a feeling of solidarity to the entire team. This year's picnic for Independent Support Services hosted over 1200 people with carnival, inflatables, food, DJ and prizes! It was wonderful event.

NYC, halloween party, corporate events, event design

Taboola's haunted Bayou Halloween party allowed us to take our event design to new heights. The lighting, ivy, centepieces, and customized signage all came together in this exquisite and eery Halloween event. Read more about it here.

#4 Stony Brook University Wolfieland Carnival
Almost 3,000 students attended the Wolfieland carnival at Stony brook University this fall. Event Kings produced an amazing event for students to enjoy that included carnival rides, tents, and entertainment. Watch a youtube montage all about the event here.

Capitale NYC

Event Spotlight: Pajama Program 2018

Capitale NYC, fundraising, gala, nonprofit, pajama program

One of our favorite events of the year is for Pajama Program. This amazing nonprofit donates pajamas and books to children in shelters or group homes. They believe this simple act for many is a profoundly important ritual for those in need. Changing into pajamas and reading a book before bed impacts children's quality of sleep and leads to days that are rested and ready for learning. Read more about this wonderful organization here.

This year, the theme was "Love is the best light to read in all year round." To bring this theme to life fairy lights accented every centerpiece and was incorporated into the performer's costumes.

The centerpieces were themed for all four seasons. We represented winter, spring, summer and fall and as mentioned, each piece had fairy lights incorporated into them. The fall piece was made of cylinders holding flame calla lilies and ruby mokara orchids. The middle had orange fairy lights and fall leaves were scattered around the table.

The winter piece was a lantern filled with blue fairy lights on top of a bed of white hydrangea, crystal branches, dusty miller leaves, snowy pinecones and silver netted spheres.

The spring centerpiece included cylinders filled with flowering branches, tulips and green orchids. The middle piece had moss and fairy lights.

Inside, the guests enjoyed our fall and winter performers on pedestals and over the entranceway.

Our open photo booth was a big hit and used their step and repeat as a backdrop.

All four of our performers went on stilts during the reception and went throughout the tables and then in front of the stage. Each one of them held a sign that read I am the light of their particular season. They, along with the centerpiece and coordinating linens, really drove home the theme.

As always, our friends at Capitale were a pleasure to work with and provided a
stunning venue to be in!

#transformationtuesday Transformation

Transformation Tuesday

3:22 PM

One of the best parts of our industry is having the opportunity to transform a space and create the event of someone's dreams! Whether it is making a traditional wedding venue into a rock arena, transporting an entire company into Alice's Wonderland or creating an out of this world celebration for 1,000 guests, each transformation leaves us excited and inspired.

wedding rock concert

Joanne and Scott were two special people who had a unique vision for their wedding. They were not too concerned about the dress, the tux, the flowers or anything else for that matter. What they most wanted was to make their wedding reception a rock concert! To achieve this we installed a full stage and upgraded lighting to get the full concert effect. To make the night complete, the groom designed tie dyed band t-shirts for favors!
Corporate Holiday Party
Every year our clients challenge us to come up with new and exciting themes for their holiday party. For the Alice in Wonderland theme our goal was to bring in large scale decor that made an impact to the crowded room of 1,000 guests. To achieve that we installed a giant screen that projected the 2010 version of the movie. We also made a gaming area with artificial turf rug, oversized chess pieces and regal lounge furniture and staged three foot playing cards around the room. For added drama we lighted the room in red. Centerpieces were Mad Hatter hats and tea sets filled with flowers.
Corporate holiday party
For the "Sky's the Limit" theme at Capitale in NYC we knew that to fully transform such a unique space we needed to have high drama. Hence, our hanging aerialist from a 65 ft ceiling! Along with this amazing entertainment were custom designed metal spheres with floral accents.  To complete our transformation the venue was lit in blues, purples and reds.
